Job Description:

A direct report to the Chief Technology Officer of EPC Space. The test engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing test strategies and procedures for semiconductor devices.  Their primary goal is to ensure the functionality and performance of these devices meet the required specifications.  Specific responsibilities include:

  • Test Plan Development: Creating test plans that outline the testing methodologies, equipment, and resources required to validate semiconductor devices.
  • Test System Design: Designing test systems and developing automated test scripts or programs to perform functional, performance, and reliability testing on semiconductor devices.
  • Test Execution: Running tests according to established test plans, analyzing test results, and identifying any issues or deviations from expected performance.
  • Debugging and Troubleshooting: Investigating and resolving test failures, diagnosing issues with semiconductor devices or test systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address and resolve problems.
  • Test Equipment Management: Selecting and configuring test equipment, ensuring proper calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of test equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Creating comprehensive test reports, documenting test procedures, results, and any observations or recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with design engineers, manufacturing teams, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements, provide feedback on design for testability, and communicate test-related information effectively.
  • Quality Assurance: Contributing to quality assurance efforts by participating in design reviews, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements:

  • BSEE required
  • Knowledge of programing language LabView, C++
  • Knowledge of PCB Layout
  • Knowledge of Point of Load, DC-DC converters, motor drive is a plus
  • Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
